World Nursery Rhyme Week promotes the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development and education.
This week, we have been celebrating World Nursery Rhyme Week in school, but that doesn’t mean the fun stops here! Research shows that learning nursery rhymes has a huge impact on a child’s development. If children know 8 nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are 4 years old, they are usually among the best readers and spellers in their class by the time they are 8.
