Forest school provides a valuable teaching tool for a wide range of curriculum subjects and an excellent way to support and enrich learning and engages children with a variety of needs and learning styles. During our sessions, children experience all sorts of woodland activities that help them build an understanding and appreciation of the woodland as well as learn together in a totally different way.
The activities are always hands on and will often require the use of a range of tools. The fire is a central learning opportunity in Forest School, teaching children how to manage risk and challenge in a safe and supervised way.
The sessions always take place during school time, on our school grounds.
We are looking for more logs of any size to help develop our area so if you can help please contact our Forest School Leader Kerry Haywood. Donations of wellies are always much appreciated.
