Welcome to Nunsthorpe Nursery!  

We're delighted you're thinking of joining our family for the first steps in your child's formal education; we aim to give every child the best start!

Our Early Years team work closely with parents to ensure all children learn vital skills and concepts in a friendly, safe and stimulating environment, rated as outstanding by Ofsted. We place a high emphasis on developing social, emotional and communication skills in a language rich setting where children gain independence through a mixture of whole group, targeted small group and free-flow, self-directed activities, both inside and outside.

Our Learning Space

We have fantastic provision both inside and out of the classroom, which is designed specifically for our Nursery children to engage and enthuse their learning and play.  We are proud of our Nursery and all of the learning areas we have developed in order to offer the best for our children.

We ensure that all of our play areas are kept safe and clean.  The toys and resources provided are all in line with what we teach in the EYFS curriculum and latest research in child development.  Staff in Nursery model how to use the provision and support the children through play.  We have toilets and changing facilities on site.

Session times available

Did you know that your child is eligible for a place in our Nursery the term after their third birthday? We offer 15 hour places morning sessions only.
