We're proud to share our most recent inspection outcomes. 

Our most recent Ofsted inspection in May 2026, highlights the many strengths of our academy and the positive progress being made, while also outlining the areas we are continuing to improve.

Firstly, safeguarding at our school has been judged to be effective. Inspectors recognised that our children are safe, well cared for, and that keeping them safe is central to everything we do.

The report highlights many other positives that we are incredibly proud of:

• Our school is described as a welcoming and safe place where pupils enjoy coming to learn.
• Pupils behave well, show positive attitudes to learning, and are polite and respectful to others
• Staff know pupils well and provide strong pastoral support, helping children feel listened to and supported
• Our curriculum is well organised, with staff working hard to help pupils build knowledge step by step
• In early years, children benefit from a vibrant learning environment where they are curious, confident and enjoy learning
• Staff work closely together to make sure every child’s individual needs are understood, creating a supportive and inclusive environment where all pupils can succeed
• Leaders were recognised for bringing stability and clear direction following a period of change

Inspectors also recognised the wider experiences we offer, including opportunities for pupils to take part in community projects, visits and enrichment activities that help them grow in confidence and understand the world around them.

As with any inspection, the report also identifies areas where we need to go further. We want to be open about these, as working in partnership with you is key to getting this right for every child.

Achievement:
Outcomes at the end of KS2 in recent years have been below the national average, particularly in reading, writing and maths. We are pleased that the inspectors recognised that our new leadership team has already taken the right actions and that improvements are underway, but these are not yet fully reflected in published results.

Unfortunately, this way of measuring data doesn't take in to account that our Phonics scores have increased every year and are above the national average or that there is a similar picture in EYFS where the number of children achiving GLD has increased every year to above national average.

Attendance:
Attendance has been below national levels (by 3%) and too many pupils have missed school regularly. Again, the inspectors recognised our ongoing work in this area and noted that we are working closely with pupils and families, using a range of strategies to encourage regular attendance and support every child to be in school.


Across all the areas we are continuing to improve, it was clear to the inspectors the right strategies are now in place. Although there is more to do, we are already beginning to see encouraging improvements across the school.

• We are already taking clear action to build on our strengths and take these improvements even further:
• Helping to improve how we teach reading, writing and maths so every child can build strong skills
• Giving extra support to help pupils catch up where they need it most
• Working closely with families to improve attendance and punctuality, so every child can benefit from being in school every day
• Offering more opportunities beyond the classroom to help pupils grow in confidence and aim high

We are proud of the progress our academy is making. The inspection recognises that, following a period of change, we are now on a strong path forward, with improving teaching, a positive school culture, and pupils who are increasingly well prepared for the next stage of their education.
